Macedonias

In the Summer of 2013, I was in the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, visiting our wonderful friend Marcia, who was in the Peace Corps in Dibra, which is near the Albanian border. From there we went to Edessa and Thessaloniki in the Macedonian region of Greece. In order to avoid taking sides in the deeply felt issue of which of these is the real Macedonia, here is one series of images from each. First a group of images from Dibra, with one Skopje image snuck in, then a group of images from Edessa, with one Thessaloniki image snuck in.
